Plymouth Postgraduate Medical Centre, Derriford Hospital, Plymouth 18:30 hrs


Lynne Jones is a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist, writer, relief worker and an Honorary Associate Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has worked extensively in disaster, conflict, and post-conflict settings around the world where she has  witnessed first-hand the devastating impacts of the climate and ecological emergencies.  

In this talk she will discuss her latest book "Sorry for The Inconvenience but this is an Emergency: The Non-violent Struggle for our Planet’s Future’ and her reflections on her own experiences of nonviolent protest and how such actions can change the world.
