EMTAS is now known as EDEAS
EDEAS stands for Ethnically Diverse Education Achievement Service. So why the change?
We are conscious that the phrase ethnic minority in our title is often an unhelpful way of identifying ethnically diverse children. We also understand that Travelers are an ethnically diverse group and our aim with our new title is to be more inclusive and outline our role. |

Expansion of early intervention support from the Devon Educational Psychology Service (only available for 150 Devon schools and settings) Thank you to those schools who submitted their requests for early intervention support from the EP service. Your school will now have been contacted to confirm this support and we look forward to working with you. Your EP will be in touch shortly.
We have reached capacity for this work and are unable to accept any new requests. The EP service is working hard to balance early intervention support alongside reducing waiting times for children and young people undergoing statutory assessment and we hope to extend support further in future.
Thank you for your support. |

Would you like to connect with other school librarians?
Our termly networking meetings are held either at our centre in Willand, at a host school or online. They are led by the SLS advisory team and are a source of up-to-date information, the sharing of ideas and good practice, plus a chance to look around another library and talk about the books we love.
