Our new Data Protection Officer (DPO)


Jenny is very much looking forward to meeting you all in the coming weeks, and hopes to see you at the forthcoming DPO networking meeting, scheduled for 10 July 2024 which offers a rare opportunity to stay up-to-date with changes in Data Protection legislation and share ideas and experiences with other Data Protection professionals in the same sector.

Introducing our new multi session training package to support SENDCos just starting in the role. It aims to develop an understanding of both the strategic and operational aspects of this unique role in school.


With ongoing support from the SEND advisory team, both in person and online and opportunities to network amongst colleagues, you will be well equipped to carry out the role

Expansion of early intervention support from the Devon Educational Psychology Service


After working with 91 targeted schools this year, we are delighted that the Devon Educational Psychology Service is able to extend early intervention support to up to 150 Devon schools and settings from September 2024.

Our offer to you is:

  • A DCC fully funded twice-yearly multi-agency School Review Consultation to problem solve key priorities and challenges linked to SEND in your setting.
  • The option to purchase Psychology Works consultation, training and supervision.

We are asking for schools to submit commitments to purchase by 26 June 2024.

Primary Assessments Data Collection 2024

The Data and Assessment Team have sent their communication to primary schools, view the email.

Please submit your data as soon as possible.

Early Years Foundation Stage Profile (EYFSP) – deadline 28 June 2024 (via Anycomms)

Phonics screening checks and phonics screening rechecks (in 1 file) – deadline 24 June 2024 (via Anycomms). Please do not wait until the threshold score is released to submit your data.

Key Stage 2 Teacher Assessments - deadline 28 June 2024 (direct to the DfE via Primary Assessment Gateway)
