LEGO fun at Ham Library

Ready for an 'Everything is Awesome' day? Join us at Ham Library to enjoy an afternoon of LEGO building with a screening of The LEGO Movie while you build.

This event is run in association with the Friends of Ham Library.

Seeds bombs at Little Seedlings

At this Little Seedlings session, get your hands dirty creating your own seed bombs with native wildflower seeds. Throw and watch them grow, just in time for spring.

All materials will be provided. This event is for children, accompanied by an adult.

The life and works of William Morris and the Arts and Crafts Movement

Join silversmith and designer, Mark Lewis, for a talk celebrating the life and work of this illustrious poet, artist, and social reformer, who pioneered a movement that reacted against the soulless machine production of the Industrial Revolution. Discover how William Morris attempted to promote joyful labour, the enjoyment of fine craftsmanship, and simplicity of expression.

This talk is part of the Reminiscence Café series of events.

Explore different social media platforms and learn how to create accounts, share posts, stay in contact with friends and family, and keep your information safe. Friendly professional librarians will be on hand to answer any questions you might have.

Get swishing with a clothing swap

Regenerate your wardrobe without buying new! Swishing is simple; just bring in your unwanted garments (all donated items must be in a good condition) and exchange them for tokens. Then, come back later to choose alternative items to take home and enjoy.

Baby sleep Q&A

Following our regular Baby Rhyme Time sessions, join a special Q&A with Lucy, founder of Settled Sleep and trained sleep consultant. Whether you need tips on dropping night feeds, managing nap transitions, or building a routine, getting reliable and practical advice can make all the difference. 

Project Linus quilting sessions

Help Project Linus UK and Richmond libraries create a quilt for a child in need at this Winter Warmers community crafting activity. This is a great opportunity to learn new techniques whilst supporting a worthy cause! All materials are provided.

Crafts for wellbeing

During the winter months Makers United will be holding drop-in creative sessions. Come along with or without your own craft and meet other like-minded creatives.

Knit and Natter

Do you enjoy knitting, crocheting or cross stitch? Bring whatever you're working on and join our friendly group for a morning of making. Crafters of all levels are welcome to join these informal gatherings to learn some tips, gain inspiration, and meet new people. Please bring your own yarn if you can.

Plant dye printing for everyone

Hapa Zome is a simple but elegant Japanese printmaking technique, which involves pressing and crushing fresh flowers and leaves into fabric to create images. See a demo of the technique then create your own completely natural designs.

Materials will be provided, but if you have certain flowers or leaves you’d like to try, do bring them along!

Ukulele Concert

Enjoy mood boosting music with the Teddington Ukulele Players. Featuring songs both new and familiar, sing along, tap your feet, or just listen as local ukulele players spread musical joy!

Learning to play the ukulele yourself can be great fun too! You can borrow a ukulele for free with your library card thanks to our partnership with London Ukulele Project.

Magnificent music of the 19^th century

Relax and enjoy a free evening concert courtesy of renowned professional musicians, The Cordial Consort.

You’ll be treated to a repertoire of live music including German and Italian songs by Schubert, Giuliani, and their contemporaries. Performed on guitar and flute using instruments of or copied from the late Classical and Romantic era with a vocal accompaniment.
