This Safer Internet Day, our friendly professional librarians will be on hand to help you navigate the digital world. You will learn a variety of tips, checks, and practical skills that will help you explore and use the internet with confidence. The event is free, but booking is required.

Clay workshop at Little Seedlings

Let your imagination run wild while you have fun with air dry clay and create a variety of creatures to take home! No experience necessary, and all materials will be provided. This free event is for children, accompanied by an adult.

The Archaeology of Hampton Court Palace

Take a trip through the history of the Palace site from the Bronze Age to the present with Ian Franklin. You will see artefacts and parts of the Palace never usually seen by the public, because they are in store or reburied. This talk will explore recent excavations at the Hospitallers settlement, Clock and Base Courts, and many more.

Get swishing with a clothing swap

Regenerate your wardrobe without buying new! Swishing is simple; just bring in your unwanted garments (all donated items must be in a good condition) and exchange them for tokens. Then, come back later to choose alternative items to take home and enjoy.

Drop off items between 10.00am – 12 noon
Choose items between 1.00pm – 3.00pm

Project Linus Quilting

Help Project Linus UK and Richmond Libraries create a quilt for a child in need.

All materials are provided, giving a fantastic opportunity to learn new techniques whilst supporting a worthy cause!

Project Linus UK is a network of needlewomen across the UK who make quilts and blankets for babies, children and teens who are going through challenging times.

Baby Sleep Q&A

Following our regular Baby Rhyme Time sessions, join a special Q&A with Lucy, founder of Settled Sleep and trained sleep consultant. Poetry workshop with Babs Lee

Nurture your love of poetry and have a go at writing your own material under the expert guidance of local published poet Barbara Lee. Each friendly and informal workshop will explore poetry from different authors, followed by a discussion and the chance to write your own poem.

Gentle yoga for everyone

See the library from an exciting new angle in 2024 with a free gentle yoga class!

With a focus on deep breathing, mindfulness and slow stretches, these classes are suitable for all abilities. Starting and ending with meditation, these restorative yoga classes are sure to leave you feeling zen. Please bring your own mat and wear comfortable clothing. 

Knit and Natter

A new monthly group for crafty creatives. Do you enjoy knitting, crocheting or cross stitch? Bring whatever you're working on and join our friendly group for a morning of making. Crafters of all levels are welcome to join these informal gatherings to learn some tips, gain inspiration, and meet new people. Please bring your own yarn if you can.
