Dear Parent/Guardian,

Please see the below message regarding delivery of lessons on Monday 5 February. This has been sent to your young person today.

I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that tomorrow (Tuesday 30 January) is a non-teaching day.

Dear Learner,

I am writing to provide you with further information about an upcoming 'Flip Day' (meaning all your timetabled lessons will be live online) for sixth form lessons on Monday 5 February. We have decided to make this a Flip Day due to there being another train strike planned for that date. Previously we have had just those who travel on trains offered online links to the sessions. Learner Voice feedback suggested we trial having everyone online for these very disrupted days, so we will give it a go next week. Please ensure that you attend all your online sessions. For those of you who prefer working at College, you can still come in and use a study space or LRC to log into your sessions.

I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that tomorrow (Tuesday 30 January) is a non-teaching day. Please use this time for independent study.

Monday 5 February

THIS WILL BE A FLIP DAY - ALL SIXTH FORM LESSONS TAUGHT LIVE ONLINE

On Monday 5 February, your timetabled lessons will be calendared as Teams lessons. Please ensure you can log into these on Monday morning. If you prefer to work at College you are welcome to come in to use an LRC computer if you wish to in any of our city centre LRCs (Tower, Victoria House and Hele Road).

Teachers and tutors will be onsite on this day, as will our Wellbeing and Safeguarding Teams who will be available for support if you need them.

Laptops are available to borrow

If you need to borrow a device to access your learning that day, you can do so by dropping into your nearest LRC (CCI, Victoria House, Hele Road or Tower Floor 4). If you are taught at other sites such as Falcon House (Construction) or Technology Centre (Engineering), you should email LRCStaff@exe-coll.ac.uk asap to request to borrow a device and we will endeavour to get a device out to you.
