RailSmart EDS: Closing the Signaller Competency Cycle
LOMs are responsible for ending current and starting new competence cycles for each of their staff within RailSmart EDS. The new cycles have been deployed in the system and this activity can begin. We have developed the following guide
to explain the process. Should you have any questions, please contact Matt Bonsall or Jack Wood. |

RailSmart EDS: Introducing Radio Buttons and Bulk Save!
This month, RailSmart EDS implemented enhancements in relation to Radio Buttons and Bulk Saves. Please read through the following information, and where relevant, relay to your teams. |
|
|
Radio Buttons
You will now see that the proficiency rating drop-down has been replaced with a set of radio buttons, making it quicker and easier to input ratings during an assessment on the web. |
|
|
|
Bulk Save
We have also removed the need to manually save individual criteria during an assessment. Any criteria with a selected proficiency rating will now be saved when clicking any of the following buttons within the assessment:
- The new ‘Save Ratings’ button - The ‘Complete Assessment’ button - The ‘Add Evidence to Multiple Criteria' button
- The ‘Add Additional Criteria' button - The Quick Actions options: - ‘Add or Edit Supporting Information’ button
- ‘View Attached Evidence’ button |

|
We understand some users are experiencing formatting issues due to the resolution of laptops. We are working to get this resolved, in the meantime, you can fix this by zooming out in the browser.
For more information on latest enhancements, access the Deployment Guide on the Operations Capability SharePoint
and within the Learning Resources tab on RailSmart EDS. As always, please follow the channels below or contact the team at railsmartsupport@networkrail.co.uk for support. |

RailSmart EDS: Integration with MyRoster is now live
MyRoster is our new system for rostering teams and managing shifts. It replaces ClickRoster, which is being decommissioned. The connection between RailSmart EDS and MyRoster is now live, which means Line Managers and Roster teams can more effectively manage the scheduling and allocation of Signallers to the correct signal boxes and prevent the duplication of information. |
|
|
This also means that Line Managers are no longer required to manage their employees 'last worked' date of a location in RailSmart EDS. However, Line Managers will still need to add a location when it is newly assigned.
Please contact railsmartsupport@networkrail.co.uk
for any support or guidance on the above. |
