Dear Parent/Guardian,

On Thursday 16 November the College will be closed for a day of staff development training.

On this day, all students have an opportunity to complete some work experience. All students will have received communications from their personal tutor outlining this opportunity. Students can also find a guide via the work experience section on the Future Steps student hub page. You can see this information here.

Students have been guided to:

1. Create a shortlist of potential employers to target 
2. Contact employers 
3. Return a Health & Safety form to tutor 
4. Enter details of their day in their EILP

For those who are unable to find an in-person opportunity, there will be a list of virtual opportunities available on the day shared with tutors during the w/c 6 November. For our learners on T level and vocational courses that require work experience as part of the assessment of their course, this day represents an opportunity to gain more hours towards their target.

Please note that Learning Resource Centres will also be closed all day on 16 November.
