| Dr John Langdon Down & Normansfield | First established in 1868, Teddington’s pioneering Normansfield Hospital cared for, and educated, people with learning difficulties at a time when most would have been condemned to life in an asylum. This talk by Jo Hardie covers the incredible work by the Langdon Down family and its lasting legacy.
An accompanying free exhibition, My Perspective, in partnership with the Down’s Syndrome Association, will be held at Teddington and Hampton libraries over the coming months. |
