Hello and welcome! We know you're busy with the end of term so close, so we'll jump straight into it this week. Below you'll find information on contacting our Service Desk, important information about downloading your Key Stage results, SIMS Housekeeping and end of year procedures, painless procurement from the Scomis Online Store, our upcoming training courses and how to ensure you are prepared for Exams 2023. Let's go!

Changes when phoning the Service Desk

You may have seen the announcement recently that Scomis are becoming MIS agnostic. To assist this and ensure that you can speak with an analyst who can best assist with your enquiry, we are adding options on our telephony service for you to select from.

From Wednesday 19th July, when you telephone the Service Desk on 01392 385300 you will be greeted with the normal introduction and then the following options:

Please choose from the following options:

  • For Arbor support, press 1.
  • For Bromcom support, press 2.
  • For SIMS support, press 3.
  • For all other enquiries, press 6.

In the week leading up to the change, reminders about the change will be published on MyScomis, our self-service portal, and on our website.

Important date! Download and import your Key Stage Results on 11th July 2023

Primary Schools will be able to view, download and subsequently import (test results and scaled scores)

At 7:30am on Tuesday 11 July, the key stage 2 (KS2) test results will be published via the Primary Assessment Gateway (PAG)

Schools should access the ‘View and download KS2 test results’ from the ‘Available activity’ section alongside the scaled score conversion tables on GOV.UK.

It is recommended that schools nominate one PAG user within their organisation to view and download their test results on the morning of Tuesday 11 July.

Schools will be able to view an overall results summary page, showing their pupils’ scaled scores for all subjects, and a more detailed results page for each subject, showing their pupils’ raw scores, scaled scores and test outcomes.

Key stage 3 schools

Schools with a key stage 3 intake will be able to download results for their incoming year 7 pupils from Wednesday 12 July. These schools can enter their unique pupil numbers (UPNs) in the ‘Search for pupils’ KS2 results’ form in the ‘Available activity’ section of the PAG.

Local authorities and multi-academy trusts

Local authorities and multi-academy trusts will be able to view and download test results in the same formats available to schools. They can choose to download results for all their schools and academies as either a combined file or by selecting the individual school or academy from a pre-populated list.
