The Royal Devon is to host the development of a new Trauma Resilience Hub | The Sexual Violence and Trauma Pathfinder aims to improve care for adult victims and survivors of sexual assault and abuse with complex trauma-related mental health needs, so that they can recover, heal and rebuild their lives.
The Pathfinder is as a result of a partnership with the NHS, local authorities, and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner. As a result of this partnership, the Royal Devon will be supporting in the development of Trauma Resilience Hubs across Devon and Cornwall.
These hubs will bring together health and sexual violence services to create better pathways of support for victims of sexual assault, as well as upskilling and supervising practitioners to help manage trauma symptoms.
More information can be found here | ERP (Unit4) Finance and procurement issues fixed and budget statements now available | You will be aware that we have been having a number of issues with ERP (Unit4). Following an upgrade to improve the overall speed and experience of the system many of the issues have now been resolved. However, if you are still encountering problems with the system it is important you let us know. Please feedback any continuing issues to your usual finance contact.
The first budget statements for April – May 2023 (months 1 and 2) are now available in ERP (Unit4). You can find a guide on how to run the budget statement and staffing reports for your cost centre/cluster/division here. Please save any queries for your budget surgery where possible.
We are committed to using the new system to its fullest potential and in the coming months will implement a number of tools, dashboards (charting) etc that will help you quickly see and analyse information for your area of the Trust. We will update you with further information as these features are implemented. | New report says NHS should focus on three key areas | The NHS Assembly, an advisory group established in 2019, consulted staff, patient groups, carers, charities, and partners in health and social care for the report launched ahead of the 75th anniversary of the health service on 5 July. This included Royal Devon colleagues – a summary of your responses to a survey we ran was shared with the NHS Assembly for this report.
The assembly's analysis found that the NHS should now focus on three key areas: - preventing poor health
- using technology to create more personalised care which better responds to patients views and allows them to receive care remotely
- coordinated care closer to home, including by strengthening General Practice.

Could you be a Staff Governor? Join a webinar to find out |
|
|
|
Governor elections are coming soon, and we will be looking for more staff to join our Council of Governors.
The Council of Governors plays a vitally important role by providing a direct connection between our Board of Directors and our staff, patients, the community we serve and our partners. They appoint the Trust’s non-executive directors (NEDs) and hold them to account. Governors have a wide range of experiences and backgrounds, but what they share is a real passion for helping to shape local health services in a way that best meets the needs of patients and the public.
To find out if this is something for you, we are holding two information webinars with a panel of current Staff Governors and Trust colleagues. At these webinars you can find out more about the role, hear from some of the current Governors, and ask any questions.
If you’d like to receive an Outlook/MS Teams calendar invite so that you don’t miss it, please email the engagement team at rduh.royaldevonmembers@nhs.net
More information will be published soon on the Governor elections page on HUB. |
