Whilst the British press, TV, radio and social media have saturated the British people with the reporting and constant political turmoil over the past 6 months, the international business world has been getting on with positive life. Expanding their companies, increasing their profits and incomes and improving their company values.

The shock announcement of Trump Tariffs in April 2025 resulted in a sharp fall in international share prices. But even then, world markets dipped, curtsied to the “Boss” took on the new rules and shook off the problem quite quickly climbing back to their previous rate of growth. Clearly, the international business need for continued expansion and growth had a stronger appetite than the tariff bump in the road. You can see this clearly in the growth of the FT100 Index covering the last 2year period. International business activity swallowed up the increased American tariffs and continued its progress in growth.

Even the ebb and flow of the news on the Iran Conflict does not appear to affect the power of the world markets. On February 27th when the conflict first began, world stock markets took an expected dip. The recovery has been much delayed with the constant, on/off and up and down of the negotiations.
Taking a look at the performance graph of the major indexes, the British FT100, American S&P500 German Dax the French CAC40 and the Japanese 225, you can clearly see that they have all now passed the point when the conflict first started.. |

This clearly shows that the resilience of the world’s economies is very strong and can take on what-ever problems or obstacles Tariffs or conflicts or Terror may arise. Eventually the hunger and drive for progress of the world’s people and their businesses will prevail and grow. |
