Welcome to the summer edition of the Exeter College alumni newsletter - and what a summer we are having! Whatever you are up to, we hope you are enjoying the 🌞.


We have had another busy year here, ending 2025-26 on a high with staff and student celebrations. Read on for more about some of the highlights from the past twelve months, plus some exciting news about more ways you can stay connected with Exeter College!

Alumni Stop Press

Jack Groves 

Further to completing his studies in A Level Biology, Chemistry,  Psychology, and Environmental Science (plus AS Level Maths) in July 2022, Jack progressed to a degree in Neuroscience. He is now studying an MSc in Molecular Medicine at Imperial College London. He told us, "I am researching a rare genetic autoinflammatory disease by creating a disease model through genetic modification. I have also worked on ALS and how connections between neurons are lost in neurodegeneration." Jack is also training for a half marathon to raise funds for Alzheimer's Research UK, after witnessing the toll dementia took on his own family. Returning to study at Exeter College

Exeter College continues to offer an exciting and broad range of courses and training opportunities to adults, from professional and technical qualifications, to essential skills, and leisure courses. Information for courses starting from September 2026 is now available on the website or via our main College receptions. You can also contact the Adult Advice Team.👇

College Apprentices celebrate achievements

Apprentices were congratulated by family, employers, College staff and other guests at a recent awards ceremony at Sandy Park. The 16 award winners were praised for their dedication and talent, many working and training alongside other commitments and challenges. Well done class of 2026!
