I'm excited to announce our Barnes Summer Social! This will take place on site on the afternoon of Wednesday 15 July. Together with our partners Willmott Dixon, LocatED, the Department for Education and the Beckmead Trust, we are inviting our whole community to join us as we celebrate a year of construction progress on Barnes' £30m redevelopment. |

We will be securing part of the site to host the event, providing sandwiches and refreshments, and giving everyone an opportunity to see the progress up close. Please RSVP via the button below to let us know if you'd like to attend. We will follow up with more information for attendees nearer the time.

Construction on our new school and health facility at Barnes has continued at pace in the first half of the year. Over recent months, the steel frameworks for both our new mental health facility and the London River Academy (SEN school) have been fully completed. All floor levels across both buildings are also now in place, marking an important milestone in bringing the structures to life.
Work has begun on installing the external framing for the school, which is helping to shape the internal spaces and gives the first real sense of how the finished building will look and feel. |

| Looking ahead, the coming months will be just as busy. External framing and window installation will continue, followed by the start of the brickwork across both buildings - a phase that will give the site its emerging final appearance. Inside, internal works will begin, including blockwork for the lift shafts and other essential structural elements that support the next stage of the build.
As activity increases, we remain committed to minimising disruption for those living and working nearby. Our construction partners continue to implement measures to manage noise, dust and traffic, with clearly defined working hours in place and regular monitoring to ensure compliance. We greatly appreciate the continued patience and support of our neighbours as we work to deliver these modern, purpose-built spaces and look forward to coming together as a community at next month's event.
