Thank you for a wonderful Welcome Week

As the new academic year gets underway we hope you enjoyed Welcome Week 2025. The campus was buzzing with excited students enjoying a range of activities from the Freshers' Fair, Canine Cuddles, board games in the Recharge Zone and much, much more. You probably saw two of our fantastic Digital Media Creators, Noah and Vanisha filming the activities. Relive a brilliant week by checking out the photo gallery

Each issue, we’ll highlight a question from social media to help our student community share their knowledge and experiences of university life with one another.

The question we asked you for this issue: Who was the first friend you made at Sussex?

You must have loved this question, as it got the highest number of replies we have ever had! Take a look at some of them below:

@james.more28 - Jonah.

@jemimabelle_ - my flatmate naia from first year. I love her very much and we're now attached at the hip.

@phoebestorey - the girls on my course.

@vakhob_yu - My roommate Chirag Ghosh - The Prince of Kolkata.
