Learn more

As College Advisers we can help students with their preparations for joining Exeter College after their GCSEs. We can help with queries regarding the courses on offer, entry requirements, the application and interview processes, travel, and the Exeter College Academies, as well as student life and Apprenticeships.

Open Events 2025-26

Tuesday 7 October 2025, 4-8pm

Thursday 20 November 2025, 4-8pm

Wednesday 22 April 2026, 4-7pm

We will be holding three open events throughout Year 11. These events provide a great opportunity to learn more about what Exeter College has to offer. All courses will be represented at the Open Events, and students will be able to visit all our city centre buildings, as well as our Construction Centre in Sowton and Technology Centre in Monkerton, during these evenings.

Click the button below to register in advance and we will send you an event programme (including a map of all our college sites) to help you plan your visit ahead of the event.

Applications & Interviews

Apply online from Tuesday 7 October

We strongly advise students to attend an Open Event and to fully research their course options before completing their college application. Students can apply online from Tuesday 7 October through the Exeter College website or obtain a paper copy of the application form from our website.

Apply online here

We will be holding interviews monthly from December onwards and all applying students will be asked to attend an interview with a lecturer from their chosen course. We therefore recommend that applications are submitted by around December/January so that students can attend an interview earlier in the academic year to allow them to then focus fully on their GCSE revision and exams.

Once students have applied, we encourage them to regularly check their emails (including the junk folder) as interview dates and times will be scheduled shortly after we have received the application and emailed directly to the learner and their next of kin.

Please note that if we require any additional information regarding a young person's application to college, this information will need to be received before an interview is offered. We will contact the young person and their next of kin to explain what is required.

All learners planning on joining Exeter College will also need to attend an in-person enrolment appointment at the College between 21 August 2026 (the day after GCSE results day) and the start of September.

Extra-curricular opportunities

EXtra is everything available to students above and beyond the core curriculum. Students are offered the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of clubs, trips, guest talks, competitions and more. In addition, our varied Academies offer students the chance to develop their existing passions and skills in specific fields alongside industry professionals. These opportunities are an exciting and valuable part of studying at College! For more information, click on the links below.
