Harborough Guided Walks |
Explore the hidden beauty of the Harborough district—rolling countryside, charming villages, canals, and local legends. Supported by Harborough District Council and sponsored by Involved Holidays, the festival features guided walks led by expert guides James Carpenter (Blue Badge Tourist Guide) and George Keeping (landscape and archaeology specialist).

Stanford Hall Events |
Enjoy great outdoor events at Stanford Hall, near Lutterworth.
🎆Stanford Hall Firework Champions 2025 is on 2 August. Expect four dazzling firework displays alongside food, drink, entertainment, and children's activities.
🎆The Long Road Festival 22 August to 24 August brings a vibrant mix of music and lifestyle in an amazing festival, celebrating Country, Americana and Roots. It's set to be a great weekend with diverse artists on multiple stages, themed food, unique retail, workshops, family-friendly entertainment and on-site camping too! |

Harborough Showground |
Operation Market Harborough, a 20th-century wartime and post-war re-enactment show, 1 August- 3 August.
Yiannimize Motor Show 2025 and Family Fun Day on 16 August to 17 August, featuring new and classic cars, a funfair, and live wrestling.
The Leicestershire County Show runs from 24–25 August, celebrating rural life with livestock, equine classes, stunt shows, crafts, a funfair, and family entertainment.
Balloons & Tunes 5–7 September, with tribute acts, the SkySafari® Night Glow, funfair, stunt shows, food and drink, Bluey and Bingo, fireworks, and live animal shows. |

Launde Abbey classical concerts and cream tea
| Launde Abbey in East Norton, Leicestershire, presents its Concert Series, bringing classical performances from the finest musicians.
Enjoy classical music in their medieval chapel, followed by the famous Launde Abbey Cream Tea. Confirmed summer performances include:

Market Harborough Food and Drink Festival |
Market Harborough Summer Food & Drink Festival will be held at Welland Park on 23 August and 24 August. Enjoy delicious food and drink from around the world amidst the beautiful surroundings of Welland Park. There will also be a fantastic line-up of live bands, including:
🎶 The Hash Tags, The Innocents, Stonkin Johnsons,The Rooters, The Juliettes, Phoenix, 4 Shades of Grey, Fallen Angel and Walking Wounded.
The park also features a fabulous playground, flowers commemorating its 90th year and the popular Cafe at Welland Park.

Community Fayres |
Fayre on the Square takes place on 2 August. This fantastic day of fun and festivities includes live music and HFM, craft and trade stalls, food and drink stalls, and children's crafts and face painting.
On 17 August, the VJ Day Fayre will commemorate VJ Day with free entry. Highlights include vintage vehicles, clothing stalls, food and drink, a mini steam train, a kids' street party picnic, live music and much more! Round off the month with the Market Harborough Summer Fayre on 31 August . This event promises dinosaurs, music from HFM, a giant picnic, craft and food stalls, a bar, children's entertainment, a dog show and more.

Arts Fresco |
Often described as a 'mini Fringe festival', Market Harborough's Arts Fresco is a free street theatre festival that, for one day every September, transforms the town centre into the biggest street arts festival in the Midlands.
Arts Fresco will be returning on 13 September. The town's streets will become a stage for diverse and engaging performances, bringing unique acts and vibrant entertainment for all ages.

Heritage Open Days: free events for all! |
Heritage Open Days, England's largest festival of history and culture, returns this September, offering a unique opportunity to explore fascinating sites across the Harborough district for free!
Between 12 September and 21 September, various historical attractions will open their doors, many of which are not usually accessible to the public or would typically charge an entrance fee.
The festival features a range of events across the district including tours of the historic Symington Building in Market Harborough on 13 and 20 September (available to book here) where you can learn about its history including corsets, soups and more!

Free Bus Travel in August |
Leicestershire is making it easier and greener to travel this August with the launch of Fab Free Fares. This scheme offers free bus travel every weekend throughout August on Leicestershire County Council (LCC) bus services. Fab Free Fares will be valid on the following dates in August: 2 and 3, 9 and 10, 16 and 17, 23 and 24, 30 and 31 August.
For shopping, dining out, or meeting friends, choosing the bus is now a more affordable and environmentally friendly travel option! Find more information about the routes and timetables here. |
