Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we are now in the Spring term, we’d like to share some exciting Exeter College updates that may be of interest to you and your young person.
For any learners who haven’t yet completed their application, we are still accepting applications for courses starting in September 2025. To find out more about the application process and complete an online application please click the button.
Although we don’t have a fixed deadline, we recommend learners apply as soon as possible in the academic year to increase the likelihood of securing an interview before the end of the school year.
If you have any questions regarding the application process or your young person’s application to Exeter College, please contact our admissions department on 01392 400444 or by emailing: info@exe-coll.ac.uk |
Some learners may wish to apply for one of our Academies. Applications can be made after submitting a course application via the Exeter College website - simply log in and apply via the homepage. Deadlines vary by Academy, so check individual pages. The Sports Academy deadline is 9 February (trials late March), and the Reach Academy deadline is 31 March. Click the button for details. |

Discover Exeter College at Our Final Open Event
| The final Open Event of the year is on 23 April 2025, from 4-7pm. All city centre sites, the Construction Centre (Sowton), and the Technology Centre (Monkerton) will be open. Learners can register on our website. Even if they’ve had an interview, we encourage them to visit, explore the facilities, and speak with staff about their courses. |

Student Interviews | Interviews run regularly until late June. Once a learner applies, we’ll schedule their interview and notify them by email - please remind them to check their inbox and junk folder.
If they need to reschedule, they can contact us for the next available date. To change course choices after an interview, learners can update their online application or contact admissions. A second interview may be needed for major changes, and our team will advise if required.
Enrolment |
After their interview, learners will likely receive a conditional offer, subject to meeting the required grades detailed on their offer form. They will attend an in-person enrolment in August, after GCSE results day and before term starts. This is an essential appointment to confirm a learner’s place on their course(s), as well as an opportunity to discuss alternative course options if required. For this reason, it is essential that learners are available to visit the College in person for their appointment which will take place at some point between 22 August and 2 September.

The Apprenticeship Team are here to help learners secure an Apprenticeship and find an employer. There are lots of helpful resources on our website and learners can book a one-to-one appointment with one of our Training and Recruitment Advisers who can offer careers advice and guidance. Apprenticeship ‘Job Shop’ sessions run during school holidays to provide learners with support to apply for roles, book a place using the link.
The Apprenticeship Expo will take place on the 13 February in the College Sports Hall between 1-5pm. Students who are interested in applying for an apprenticeship will be able to meet with over 50 employers to discover local opportunities and find out about the benefits of employment with training. Click the button to book your place.
