It has been great to welcome so many of you to the College sites for our first two open events of this academic year. For those who still have questions about Exeter College, please read on for more chances to visit us and for other information to support you in your decision making.

Upcoming Events

The Apprenticeship Expo will be back in 2025, taking place on Thursday 13 February at the College Sports Hall, off Queen Street, 1 - 5pm. Students can meet with over 50 employers and apprentices to discover local opportunities and find out about the benefits of employment with training. Read on to learn more about all the ways the Apprenticeship Team can support you.👇


And, if you would like to visit the College later this year, our next open event will take place on Wednesday 23 April 2025, 4-7pm.

Academy Application Deadlines

We are proud to offer a wide range of aspirational academies for students who wish to excel and develop in specific areas, and to follow their passion alongside their studies. Some applications will close soon. Sports Academy closes 9 February and Reach Academy closes end March - more detail via the below links. Please remember you will need to apply for your chosen academy via your online application account.

Financial Support

Bursary applications open in May 2025. Applications can be made via our website. Please apply promptly to ensure you have financial support in place for when you start in September. We recommend applying for bursary, even if we are your second choice sixth form, to avoid any delays to you receiving support.

Travel Scheme

All full time 16-18 learners who live more than 3 miles from College can access subsidised travel passes regardless of household income. There is also additional support for households with an income below £50k/year. Eligible applicants will be contacted in the summer term with further information.

College enrolment takes place between 22 August and 1 September 2025.

Please do not book your holidays during this period as you must attend your enrolment appointment in person to secure your course place.

Students recognised at special awards

The College recently held its annual Student Awards ceremony in the stunning Exeter Cathedral to celebrate the achievements of learners from across its provision. A total of 23 past and present students received awards on the evening. Read more below.

If you have also applied for an Apprenticeship and don’t yet have an employer, you can contact the Apprenticeship Team for support. They can suggest employers in your area of interest, help with your CV and application, interview preparation, and more.

Our College Advice Team can offer advice about course choices or other aspects of College life. Get in touch with your queries today!

Group Tours

The College Advice Team are delivering small group tours during half term on 19 February. You can book for a tour of the City Centre sites, the Construction Centre, or the Technology Centre (for Engineering, Aerospace and Automotive courses). Call 01392 400600 or email cat@exe-coll.ac.uk to book.

Advice Appointments

Year 11 students from outside of Exeter can book 1-1 30 minute appointments with the College Advice Team on 18 February during half term. Appointments can be online via Teams or in-person.
