| Chefs in schools - free chef training
Riverford Organic Farmers have places available on their upcoming programme starting Tuesday 30 April at Riverford Field Kitchen in Buckfastleigh and there will be further training programmes later in the year.
Chefs in Schools is a charity with the mission of transforming school food and food education. Riverford's School Chef training programme goes beyond the basics, and the training is designed to improve confidence in nutrition and food education for those working in school food. Topics cover nutrition, food waste, kitchen skills, food education sessions and fulfilling the school food standards. Schools and caterers do not need to contribute to the cost, but must enable kitchen staff to be able to attend the training sessions. The programme is suitable for in-house our outsourced catering teams.
