Club Awards 2023 - oh what a night!

One week on from the spectacular Club Awards 2023, and we’ve been inundated with messages from clubs and guests about how impressed they were. And while the Club Awards were the main event – of course – the drinks reception, fantastic meal, complimentary drinks and entertainment from our good West End friends at the Phoenix Arts Club left clubs applauding like never before.

ICONIC VENUE, ICONIC EVENT!
The Club Awards returned for the second year running to the vibrant Art Deco Athena in Leicester, the perfect setting for the club industry to come together to celebrate the very best in Clubland. Having worked with the venue for months, last week we were excited to welcome clubs, guests, sponsors, associations and supporters to the 31st Club Awards.
AROUND THE CLUB AWARDS
From the Drinks Reception to the Post Awards Party, the Club Awards always provide a unique opportunity to meet, greet and mingle with the whole of Clubland. So this electronic Bulletin is a rewind for those who couldn’t be there, applause for those who were, and a notification to clubs of all types and sizes that entry to the Club Awards 2024 will open soon!
CELBRATING CLUBS AND PEOPLE
The Club Awards categories are as broad as Clubland itself, from Community, Family, Entertainment, Catering & Diversity, to Sustainability, Social Media, Sports Clubs, Turnaround, Innovative Club of the Year & the ultimate prize, the 2023 King of Clubs.
Clubs depend on their Committees, Members, Volunteers & Advocates to thrive. The Club Awards applaud their input, from Community Heroes & Long Service Awards to Young Ambassadors & Volunteers. Also: Our 100 Club celebrates clubs who have reached their spectacular 100-year milestone during 2023.
The longevity of clubs never fails to amaze. Every single one of the clubs on stage pictured left have attained their centenary; some have already reached their 200 mark. Over 2,000 years-worth of Clubland were represented on that stage that night. Remarkable!
WOW FACTOR VENUE
Ever been to an event in a venue converted from a listed Cinema? No? Then make 2024 your year! Every seat in the house has a spectacular view of the stage, performers, winners and presenters, and the dance floor is inviting as ever. TAKING TO THE STAGE
The Club Awards’ John Inverdale took to the stage to applaud winners, finalists, individuals and sponsors. And with entertainment integral to Clubland, the good folk at Dransfields showcased their Spotlight entertainment system, while West End artistes from The Phoenix Arts Club performed during and after dinner.
