Sam's SuggestionLast week we covered how to add a pulse survey into your email. You may remember I mentioned that you should avoid changing the links as it would mess with the analytics.
This week I will show you how you can link your own thank you page to the pulse survey and keep the analytics! | Firstly you will need to add a pulse survey into your email, click to learn how if you haven't already. |  | Next you will need to get the link to your thank you page, these can either be created within NewZapp as an email and copied via a share link, or created as a thank you page on your website/intranet and copied as the URL. |  | Once you have that link come back into your email and click on the faces. |  | Here you will see each face has a "Link" to which the reader will be directed to once clicked. Replace every link with the new link from your thank you page. |  | Finally, this is the most important step, you must add the following to the end of each link so that you can differentiate between them in reporting;
/?response=unhappy /?response=sad /?response=passive /?response=happy /?response=delighted
You may have guessed already but after "/?response=" you must put a descriptive word that matches the answer in the pulse survey. Each link will need it's own unique ending, doing so will help you differentiate between the results in reporting.
And you must put a "/?" before "response" so that it does not change the landing location of the link.
Example link: https://newzapp.co.uk/thankyou/?response=happy |  | If done correctly you will now have a pulse survey and a thank you page that you are able to fully customise to suit your needs.
Remember to save this as a module so you can quickly access it in the future! |
