The NSPCC Speak Out Stay Safe safeguarding programme has now been delivered in over 90% of schools across Devon & Torbay. We are also endorsed by the Devon Children's Safeguarding Board. We are now due return visits across all primary schools and would also like to access all schoolswho are yet to have our free services.
Our
Speak out. Stay safe. Programme is a safeguarding programme available to all primary schools in the UK and Channel Islands. With the amazing support of Ant and Dec alongside our mascot Buddy, this offer is available for children aged 5-11 and includes child friendly, interactive KS1 and 2 video assemblies and supporting classroom resources.
The programme aims to help children:
- understand abuse in all its forms and recognise the signs of abuse
- understand that abuse is never a child's fault, and they have the right to be safe
- know how to get help, and the sources of help available to them, including our Childline service.
A BSL version is also available for d/Deaf children, and our specially adapted SEND version of
Speak out. Stay safe. remains available as usual.
What next? If you feel the
Speak out. Stay safe. online programme would benefit the children in your school please reply to this email and we will arrange a convenient time to speak so I can talk you through the programme. You will be asked to sign a Schools Agreement and then your school will be given access to our resources online.
I look forward to hearing from you so we can set a telephone call. You can also find out more by going to
