EYFS Reform Events

The Revised Early Years Foundation Stage will become statutory in September 2021. To support the implementation of this, the Babcock Early Years Consultancy Team is offering a series of virtual training events in April and May 2021. These events will aim to ensure Devon schools and settings are briefed regarding key messages from the Department of Education and Ofsted and are able to implement these changes. Please note there are 3 parts to the training, it would be useful for you to attend all 3 parts but not essential.

AnchorData Protection (GDPR)
DPO Networking Forum

The GDPR introduced a duty for schools to appoint a data protection officer (DPO) as they are defined as public authorities.  DPOs help schools to monitor compliance to data protection legislation whilst informing and advising on data protection obligations.  Under data protection legislation, schools must ensure their DPO is an expert in this field, therefore your school is accountable when it comes to keeping your  DPO informed.  Our DPO Networking Forums will help you to achieve this.

Babcock LDP's DPO Networking Forum is a MS Teams event held termly where DPOs from subscribing schools meet to discuss matters related to data protection in schools.  It's an opportunity for DPOs to keep informed, stay up-to-date with any changes in data protection legislation and share ideas with other DPOs in the same sector.

Adolescent/Child to Parent Violence/ Abuse (ACPVA)

This webinar is designed to examine the nature and causes of ACPVA, how it manifests in families and the impact it has on young people and their carers. We will explain how ACPVA increases the likelihood of school refusal and impacts attendance and attainment, as well as compromising young people's relationships with their peers, school staff and family members, and in turn their mental health.
